Behaviour Analysis of Strengthened-RC Beam with Natural Fiber Reinforced Polymer (NFRP) based on Abaca Fiber by Using Finite Element Method

The use of synthetic Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) as a composite material is an alternative that has been widely used for strengthening and repairing reinforced concrete structures. However, the high price one obstacles in applying FRP materials developing countries such Indonesia. Utilization natural fiber Natural (NFRP) alternative, especially shear beams. Because it good tensile strength also environmentally friendly. Technological developments field computing make modelling various aspects easier. One them (RC) ATENA V534 software can be finite element-based modelling. Therefore, this study, was to evaluate results research testing behaviour beams from previous studies about strengthened beam by using NFRP. Behaviour evaluated form load deflection, pattern cracks failure, stress strain reinforcements. numerical obtained showed agreement with experimental results.
